Principia men's soccer overwhelmed 3-0 by Washington University

Box Score The Principia men's soccer team met their match as they were outwitted by Washington University 3-0 on Thursday night in Elsah, IL.  The match played in freezing temperatures was an exhibition of two teams headed in different directions.  The bears came in ranked 4th in the central region and showed their class early moving the ball well and controlling tempo earlier on in the match.

The panthers did not stay idle either, responding with some decent possession through some spells in the first half before succumbing to a 40th minute strike.  Up to that point it seemed as though the panthers had a shot but the second half quickly turned sour in the 50th minute as the bears once again found the net before rounding off the scoring in the 71st minute to finish off the panthers.  Principium now gets ready to face Eureka College on Saturday afternoon in Eureka @ 1pm.
