FORT COLLINS, COLO. -- Principia sophomore ace pitcher Greg Ball made an impressive first appearance for his summer collegiate wood bat league team (Fort Collins Foxes--Mountain Collegiate League). Ball pitched brilliantly for six innings in route to his first summer victory, striking out five batters and only allowing one free pass.
Ball did not allow a single earned run, as both runs scored off him came in his final inning of work. Ball made a lasting impression on the opposition as he shattered the leadoff hitter's bat on an inside heater.
