The Baseball Team is set to take on NAIA opponent Grace College down in Marion, IL at Rent One Park, which is home to the Southern Illinois Miners professional baseball team. Principia was originally scheduled to play a doubleheader against Ozark Christian College on the road but, due to field conditions, the games had to be canceled.
The Grace College Lancers will be a tough test for the Panthers’ ballclub, as they are a large squad with many returning core players from last season. Principia also returns a large percentage of players, and will be led by junior captains Matt Bowman and Spencer Brown.
It will be the first games of the season for both teams and should prove to be an exciting night of baseball.
